Some of the keys of our electronic keyboard/piano doesn't sound all the time, there are times that they would sound and the next time you hit it, it wouldn't. I remember an old friend telling me that his father pours disinfecting alcohol ( the one's we use in cleaning wounds ) into the defective keys of their electronic keyboard. I have a doubt about that. Is that just ok or would that damage the key permanently?
I think the only problem with the keys is that it's dirty inside but I have no means of cleaning it unless I open the entire instrument..
Please answer if you know something I could try... tnx...

Our five year old is very interested in music and we have been counseled to get him lessons, we are thinking to get him electronic keyboard lessons, is there any reason that studying the traditional piano would be better?
